The Lions Community Service Foundation(Singapore) aims to raise the essential funds that will ensure the continued support of the various Lions Clubs. Ranging from providing palliative care for the destitute and infirmed elderly to providing scholarships for needy youths, we seek to make the world a better place for each and every one of them.
A school-based positive youth development programme, Lions Quest unites the home, school and community to guide youths, have strayed from the straight and narrow, towards the proper path. Funds raised enable the programme to instill in youths a sense of purpose and moral piety.
Lions were also active in operating delivering weekly hot meals and providing grocery and fuel vouchers. They provided supplies to repair homes, supported transitional shelters and offered social services to those in need.
Lions Befrienders firmly believe that every elderly person is a valued member of society and deserve to age with dignity. Sadly, that’s often not the case as there are many abandoned seniors living alone. Funds raised are channeled towards reaching out to them via activities and visitations to aid their social and emotional well-being.
